Which one will benefit you more

Reflexology or Massage ?

Both benefit you but there is a difference between Reflexology and a Massage

Massage is manipulation of the soft tissues of the body, using specific techniques, such as stroking, kneading, tapping & friction. The aim is to relax the muscles.

Reflexology focuses on working reflex points & areas of the body in the feet, face, hands & ears using unique movement techniques. We use thumb & finger walking, rocking, pressing, hooking and circling, with the goal of creating a response throughout the whole body via the nervous system, the lymphatic system and the circulatory systems.

Massage therapists work from the “outside in” manipulating specific muscle groups or fascia to release tension.

Reflexologists work from the “inside out” simulating the bodies nervous system, which will work to improve blood circulation, lymphatic flow and help the body release built up toxins & tension. This in turn will enable a better flow of energy throughout the body.

Also by inducing deep relaxation, reflexology allows the body to completely relax so healing can take place and the body’s systems can function normally. It’s great to reset your nervous system and switch off that flight and fight response that can be operating in the background. ( if you find yourself being a bit hyper and unable to relax, your probably running the F/F response, this can lead to adrenal fatigue if left unchecked)

With my Reflexology treatments you can experience a treatment that is created to address your specific health and well-being issues. It’s also very preventative, so you do not need to be in poor health to have this treatment. Done regularly Reglexology can help maintain body homeostasis, it is a bit like servicing your car
